We’re delighted to announce that The Validium Group has become the first EAP and psychological rehabilitation provider worldwide to achieve ISO/IEC 27001, the globally accepted quality standard for security and also BS 25999 the industry standard for business continuity.  This means you can now be confident that…

We will keep your employee and organisational data secure

During the last year alone, personal information about 3.5 million UK individuals fell into the wrong hands due to the accidental loss of 700 laptop computers.  At Validium, our commitment to data security, and ISO/ICE 20071 accreditation, means that even if a laptop goes missing, your data doesn’t.

Explaining why it was so important for Validium to achieve this global standard for security, Mike Shaw, the company’s managing director and co-founder says, “We are delighted to gain this certification which demonstrates our continued commitment to safeguard data confidentiality, availability and integrity.  Most organisations have a number of information security controls in place, but they tend to be somewhat disorganized, having evolved in a haphazard way over a number of years. This makes them vulnerable to data theft or loss.”

He adds, “Every aspect of how Validium protects its customer data has come under review.    Validium is now the only Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) and psychological rehabilitation provider to be able to successfully demonstrate its ability to keep the employee and customer data that it holds secure.”

Our services to you will not become disrupted

Validium is the first EAP and psychological rehabilitation provider to be awarded BS 25999, the industry standard for business continuity.  This accreditation reflects the fact that should any of its people, premises or systems suffer an attack, natural disaster or almost any other event preventing them from operating as normal, it has the necessary processes and back-up resource required to get its services back up and running quicklyprocesses and back-up resource required to get its services back up and running quickly and effectively.  With this robust set of mechanisms in place, the valuable support it offers other organizations and individuals will continue to be delivered.

Mike Shaw explains, “Gaining the accreditation demonstrates that we have the strategic and tactical capability to plan for and respond to incidents and business interruptions in order to continue business operations at an acceptable pre-defined level.  There have been plenty of occasions where businesses have been severely impacted by disasters such as terrorist attacks or disasters like Buncefield.  We wanted to make sure that Validium will never be the weakest link in any customer’s supply chain.”

The company achieved its new standards following an in-depth independent audit process by SGS, the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company.
