Please note that Validium employs affiliate counsellors, psychotherapists and psychologists who are fully accredited members of BACP, UCKP, BPS, COSRT and BABCP. What is the role of Validium’s Psychological Services Team?
While an EAP is effective with self-referred cases, a strategic clinical intervention is sometimes required for more complex cases concerning more serious or longer-term psychological issues. Often, such cases are challenging for the business to deal with in terms of the impact on work and the difficulty in gaining a resolution. Solutions can include return to work programmes, a range of psychological assessments (e.g. fitness for work, neuro-psychological), post-trauma rehabilitation, pain management and psychological interventions (e.g. CBT) to resolve work issues such as absence, performance or behavioural problems.
What does it mean to work for Validium’s Resilience and Trauma Management Services?
If not handled correctly, exposure to any traumatic incident can prove deeply damaging to employees. Critical to limiting any long-term damage and protecting an employer’s reputation is deploying an appropriate response, based on the principles of psychological first aid, including individual psychological assessments and post trauma counselling.
To meet our communications needs and maintain our service levels to our customers, Validium now requires all new affiliates have access to the internet.
